Gimme a H, gimme a U, gimmer a GIANT @#% &$^#

This is the kind of stuff I love: making connections with faces I knew I knew, but couldn't place. I'm giddy. In the words of Bob Costas, "Feel these nipples!" Ten points to the one who names that movie.

Anyway, the new CW show "Privileged" stars Joanna Garcia. Check out the interview with her below. Or not, it's kind of long.

But she was familiar outside of that, and I'm not even talking "Reba." Try this (earmuffs!!):

That's right! Ha!

And who doesn't love the cheerocracy?! Seriously.

What a glorious evening.

Actress: Joanna Garcia
Commercial(s): K-Mart
Previous work: "Not Another Teen Movie" and "Reba"

Say Goodnight, CW. Goodnight, CW!

The voice is quite distinct (Adam Leviiiine--"SNL," anyone? No? Fine.) and the song is starting to make the rounds. I guess a promo for The CW is as good a place to begin as any.

Band: Maroon 5
Song: “Goodnight Goodnight” [Get this song, opens in a new window]
Album: It Won't Be Soon Before Long

Give Me Something to FX

I thought this musician was just another Gavin Degraw/Jason Mraz wannabe (and he even looks like them), but I'm actually digging his stuff more than the previous two. Oh, and his song is in the most recent FX promo.

Band: James Morrison
Song: "You Give Me Something" [Get this song, opens in a new window]
Album: Undiscovered

Eureka! I’m LOST in a Cadillac that has been Stowed on a Soul Plane

That headline took far too long to write (and read, sorry). But, I figured I would go ahead and knock this one out while I was thinking of it. Here are the actors and actresses that appear in the Cadillac commercials where they drive and talk about pop-up screen, seats, treating oneself, if you are a dad, and all of that other stuff.

And my apologies, but Cadillac has disabled embedding capabilities on its official YouTube profile. So here’s the link to view some of the most recent ads.

Actor: Ed Quinn
Commercial(s): Cadillac AC Seats
Previous work: “Eureka” and “CSI: NY”

Actor: Lance Reddick
Commercial(s): Cadillac Thanks, Dad
Previous work: “LOST” and “Fringe”

Actress: Sophia Vergara
Commercial(s): Cadillac Cup Holders
Previous work: “Soul Plane” and “Entourage”

And you most likely already know this one, but for good measure…
Actress: Kate Walsh
Commercial(s): Cadillac Favorite Things
Previous work: “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice”

I think there are one or two more of these commercials, so if you know what they are, let me know.

Dex Knows Best

This actor likes sitting in strange places, like the little cubbie hole in the kitchen or on a filthy desk (as seen below). And, naturally, he likes to follow that up with some pain relievers. Who can blame him, though? Who knows what he is actually sitting in being on that desk. Ewww. I think I need a tetanus shot just thinking about it.

Actor: Brian Stepanek
Commercial(s): Dex and Advil
Previous work: "Transformers" and "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody"

DHL in the House

Geez, getting fired by House must've really done a number on this guy's medical career. Now he's answering pages/calls as an assistant to a business owner. But, hey, he's getting in a round of golf, so life ain't so bad, I guess.

Actor: Edi Gathegi
Commercial(s): DHL golf
Previous work: "House M.D." and the new "Twilight" adaptation

Checking In (or Out) with Progressive

That is one sweet tricked-out nametag. I wish I still had one... those were the days. Mine didn't say "Flo" on it, though.

Actress: Stephanie Courtney (Flo)
Commercial(s): Progressive cashier
Previous work: "Blades of Glory" and "Mad Men"

Actress: Monica Creel (she wants shoes)
Commercial(s): Progressive (above)
Previous work: "Seinfeld" and "Married with Children"

KFC on the State Farm

Not only does this guy have several commercial credits recently, but he also has a famous sister. Pretty sweet, huh?

I think so, at least, but I also have this site, so I'm baised.

Anyway, I know it's a long commercial, but this entry pertains to the dad at the end whose daughter is learning to drive. And this is him in the preview screen, too.

Actor: Chris Williams
Commercial(s): State Farm I'm There (above) and KFC "I like flavor" (on the docks)
Previous work: "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story"

And yes, that is Patrick Dempsey doing the voiceover.

P.S. I am working on the other actors, especially the groom, because a ton of people want to know who he is.

Wireless Fiber

Good gravy, this actor has been in so many commercials I don't know where to begin. He usually plays that "every guy" or a dad. Either way, he's racked up quite a commercial-acting career for himself.

Actor: Bob Stephenson
Commercial(s): Fiber One (above) and Verizon Wireless saying "Whatev" when his daughter talks for hours
Previous work: "Transformers" and "Zodiac"

P.S. For the other two actors in this commercial, check this out.

Fiber One Threesome ... Now Foursome

Just like the Dr. Scholl's commercial, we have multiple actors to name in this commercial for Fiber One cereal. Only this time there's three people! This is like my dream come true.

And before you call me on it, yes, there are actually five actors, but I am working on the other two. Give me a minute, geez.

Actor: Frederick Koehler (clerk, without the crazy hair)
Commercial(s): Fiber One (above, and one more) and Eclispse gum (stank-ass breath in the office)
Previous work: "Boston Legal" and "Pepper Dennis"

Actress: Kathryn Joosten (old lady)
Commercial(s): Fiber One and Volkswagen
Previous work: "Wedding Crashers" (Chazz's mom, not the racist grandma) and "Desperate Housewives"

Actor: Ajay Mehta (manager)
Commercial(s): Fiber One (above, and one more)
Previous work: "Sex and the City" and "Eli Stone"

Actress: Yvette Nicole Brown
Commercial(s): Fiber One (above) and Best Buy
Previous work: "House" and "Boston Legal"

Spring Awakening Likes TV Peeps

"Spring Awakening" is a musical set in 1890s Germany and deals with subjects like abortion, masturbation, rape and suicide. Awesome, right? Well, it turns out it is. Last year the show picked up eight Tony Awards, one of which was Best Musical.

Not only that, but it also is attracting some relatively recognizable names. For instance, Silas from "Weeds" and the late Karl from "Lost."

And who knew they could sing?!

Actor: Hunter Parrish (Silas)
Previous work: "Weeds" and "Freedom Writers"

Actor: Blake Bashoff (Karl)
Previous work: "Lost" and "One Tree Hill"

Berries and Phones

I am so beyond excited to add this one. In fact, excuse me a moment so I can perform a little jig.

[dancing like the Little Lad]

That's better. Now, back to business. I am not referring to Patrick Swayze with the commercial below. We all know him. Poor guy.

I'm talking about the Little Lad and the guy that says, "Silence doesn't really sell phones."

Who doesn't love berries and cream? I do the dance every time I see this commercial.

Actor: Jack Ferver
Commercial(s): Starburst Berries & Cream and Orange Mobile (both above)
Previous work: "Law & Order: Criminal Intent"
Bonus material: A screenshot of both videos above. It shows both characters in all their glory.
Even more bonus material: Oh. Hell. Yeah.

Note: I imagine some will say that in the screenshot linked above we are not seeing the same person. Fair enough. I even question it, but only about 0.0000001 percent. Don't think it's him? Let me know. But if it isn't, there's a twin we don't (and maybe he doesn't) know about.

Nationwide Moan

Oh, that's just kind of naughty. And maybe a little uncalled for. See, now I'm all hot and bothered... But, anyway, the pastor here was actually in "Black Snake Moan" playing – wait for it – a reverend. Looking at his past roles, he must really like religion and the law. I thought those were supposed to be separate. Hmmm.

Actor: John Cothran Jr.
Monk episode: "Mr. Monk Goes to Jail"
Commercial(s): Nationwide Insurance
Previous work: "Black Snake Moan" and "Shark"
