Yoplait and Verizon Dead Zone Commercial Actress

Finally, at least a name to go with the face in the Yoplait Seamstress and Verizon Dead Zone Crab Grass commercials. Some people think she is Andrea Rosen. She is not Ms. Rosen. Others think Traci Dinwiddie. Still incorrect.

No confirmation on this, but still.

Actress: Jennifer Morris

Switchback to Music

Very excited to hear this song show up. Although, it is a Jimmy John's commercial. This band's stuff typically is in your action movie trailers, but I guess sandwiches need love, too. Actually, a lot of this band's/his (because lead singer Klayton goes out on his own A LOT) stuff turns up in movie trailers. Not sure how to describe their sound, but I suppose "electronic rock" is suitable. Well, mostly electronic.

Enough blabbing. Check out the commercial/song starting at :03, ending at :11. I would prefer a longer cut. Oops, they're called cues, not cuts.

Continue.

Band: Celldweller
Song: "Switchback" [Get this song, opens in a new window]
Album: Celldweller
Other placement(s): Too many to mention here, but check this list on the Celldweller site (scroll about halfway down)
Bonus material: Celldweller's "Birthright," which appears in an "Iron Man" TV spot (:04 to :15) and the "Speed Racer" trailer (:13 through the end, with a break from 1:32 to 1:37)

Dive Bombin' Sasquatch

Even though a recent post mentions this actor, it was imperative to post yet another of his commercials. There are a few reasons for doing this:
» An extra, funny commercial/video to post
» An extra RSS entry for everyone
» And, who really checks to see past entries are updated?

Why do they keep Messin' with Sasquatch? Really. He's not a pleasant fellow.

Actor: Rad Daly
Commercial(s): Jack Links Messin' with Sasquatch - RC Plane (the dad) and Fruit of the Loom (the apple)
Previous work: Check this entry

Attica! Gattaca! I mean ... Atticus!

Now, this is just unfair. A user on IMDb wants to "punch him in the face" (his words, not mine). What did he ever do to you? I'm guessing it's that Atticus, here, made more money in one appearance with Hancock than the user will make in a full year of employment. Plus, this kid is probably much cuter than the user ever was or will be.

But I'm just guessing.

Actor: Atticus Shafer
Commercial(s): AIG (above)
Previous work: "Hancock" and "The Class"

Sonic Commercials

Again, couldn't think of a good title for this entry. Many apologies. So, just to get this out of the way, here are the Sonic Drive-in peeps.

There's another actress that has been turning up recently, but I don’t have her yet. Sorry. Many apologies … again.

Actor: T.J. Jagodowski
Commercial(s): Sonic (first commercial, on the left)
Previous work: "Stranger than Fiction" and the Second City in Chicago

Actor: Peter Grosz
Commercial(s): Sonic (first commercial, on the right)

Fun(ny) fact: He's also a writer for "The Colbert Report"

Actress: Molly Erdman
Commercial(s): Sonic (second commercial, on the left)
Previous work: "According to Jim" and the Second City in Chicago

Actor/Actress: Brian Huskey
Commercial(s): Sonic (second commercial, on the right)
Previous work: "Superbad" and "Semi-Pro"

His Name is Robert Paulson, His name is Adam Cagley

So, the dad in this AT&T Go Phone commercial is Meatloaf; the mom is Tiffany. No big to-do. The son, however, who I first thought was Meatloaf's son, is not Meatloaf's son.

Actor: Adam Cagley
Commercial(s): AT&T Go Phone
Previous work: "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody"

Smooth Scrubs

Cabbage! And Smoothie ... from Jack in the Box! And running shorts! Oh, ewww. Sorry, Cabbage. Not much more to say after that.

His character's nickname in "Scrubs" is Cabbage, in case you were wondering.

Actor: Shaughn Buchholz
Commercial(s): Jack in the Box fruit smoothies
Previous work: "Scrubs" and "Joey"
Fun(ny) fact: Cabbage is also the pronunciation of CABG, which, in medicalese, stands for coronary artery bypass graft

Let’s Get Fruity, Let's Get Loomy

Fruit of the Loom. Lots of actors. Lots of funny commercials. And people dressed as fruit. Aaaaaannnd, plenty of people to name.

Oh, and I am wearing "FTL," as it says on the waistband, right now. Thought you could use a visual.

Actor: Rad Daly (apple)
Commercial(s): Fruit of the Loom
Previous work: “Shanghai Noon” and “Simon & Simon” (had to look that one up)

Actor: J.P. Manoux (green grapes)
Monk episode: “Mr. Monk is Up All Night”
Commercial(s): Fruit of the Loom
Previous work: “My Boys” and “Knocked Up”

Actor: Wayne Wilderson (purple grapes)

The leaf guy (is he parsely?) will be named upon figuring it out.

She Hates Non-VoIP and Her, um…Self

This lady has a problem with her phone service. She also apparently has a problem with being well endowed, as witnessed in "Chappelle's Show" when she wanted to get rid of her endowed-edness. Oh, and feminine products that aren’t thugged out; can you argue with her, really? Who doesn’t like Roc-a-Pads?

Video to come when I can find a suitable version.

Actress: Liz Beckham
Commercial(s): Vonage
Previous work: “Chappelle’s Show” and "The Ski trip"

You Say DiGiorno, I Say Di-Juno

There have been several questions about this guy. Most people probably saw him in a movie called "Juno." You might have heard of it. Anyway, he was the lab partner who had a "love spat" with his girlfriend/lab partner. Where you're most likely seeing him now is the DiGiorno pizza commercial where he plays a delivery kid at a party.

Video to come when I can find an adequate version.

Actor: Steven Christopher Parker
Commercial(s): DiGiorno and Snickers
Previous work: "Juno" and "ER"
Fun(ny) fact: He plays another pizza guy in one of his new films, "3 Days Blind"

There's Only One October Gonzo...?

The newest MLB Playoffs commercials are here, and thankfully, there is no Dane Cook this time. Instead, we get October Gonzo, so he is called on the MLBlogs.com site. He's much cooler than Cook, and by far less annoying and spastic.

Actor: Rick Gonzalez
Commercial(s): MLB Playoffs "There's only one October" and Sprite
Previous work: "Old School" and "Reaper"
Bonus material: About October Gonzo

Gimme a H, gimme a U, gimmer a GIANT @#% &$^#

This is the kind of stuff I love: making connections with faces I knew I knew, but couldn't place. I'm giddy. In the words of Bob Costas, "Feel these nipples!" Ten points to the one who names that movie.

Anyway, the new CW show "Privileged" stars Joanna Garcia. Check out the interview with her below. Or not, it's kind of long.

But she was familiar outside of that, and I'm not even talking "Reba." Try this (earmuffs!!):

That's right! Ha!

And who doesn't love the cheerocracy?! Seriously.

What a glorious evening.

Actress: Joanna Garcia
Commercial(s): K-Mart
Previous work: "Not Another Teen Movie" and "Reba"

Say Goodnight, CW. Goodnight, CW!

The voice is quite distinct (Adam Leviiiine--"SNL," anyone? No? Fine.) and the song is starting to make the rounds. I guess a promo for The CW is as good a place to begin as any.

Give Me Something to FX

I thought this musician was just another Gavin Degraw/Jason Mraz wannabe (and he even looks like them), but I'm actually digging his stuff more than the previous two. Oh, and his song is in the most recent FX promo.

Band: James Morrison
Song: "You Give Me Something" [Get this song, opens in a new window]

Eureka! I’m LOST in a Cadillac that has been Stowed on a Soul Plane

That headline took far too long to write (and read, sorry). But, I figured I would go ahead and knock this one out while I was thinking of it. Here are the actors and actresses that appear in the Cadillac commercials where they drive and talk about pop-up screen, seats, treating oneself, if you are a dad, and all of that other stuff.

And my apologies, but Cadillac has disabled embedding capabilities on its official YouTube profile. So here’s the link to view some of the most recent ads.

Actor: Ed Quinn
Commercial(s): Cadillac AC Seats
Previous work: “Eureka” and “CSI: NY”

Actor: Lance Reddick
Commercial(s): Cadillac Thanks, Dad
Previous work: “LOST” and “Fringe”

Actress: Sophia Vergara
Commercial(s): Cadillac Cup Holders
Previous work: “Soul Plane” and “Entourage”

And you most likely already know this one, but for good measure…
Actress: Kate Walsh
Commercial(s): Cadillac Favorite Things
Previous work: “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice”

I think there are one or two more of these commercials, so if you know what they are, let me know.

Dex Knows Best

This actor likes sitting in strange places, like the little cubbie hole in the kitchen or on a filthy desk (as seen below). And, naturally, he likes to follow that up with some pain relievers. Who can blame him, though? Who knows what he is actually sitting in being on that desk. Ewww. I think I need a tetanus shot just thinking about it.

Actor: Brian Stepanek
Commercial(s): Dex and Advil
Previous work: "Transformers" and "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody"

DHL in the House

Geez, getting fired by House must've really done a number on this guy's medical career. Now he's answering pages/calls as an assistant to a business owner. But, hey, he's getting in a round of golf, so life ain't so bad, I guess.

Actor: Edi Gathegi

KFC on the State Farm

Not only does this guy have several commercial credits recently, but he also has a famous sister. Pretty sweet, huh?

I think so, at least, but I also have this site, so I'm baised.

Anyway, I know it's a long commercial, but this entry pertains to the dad at the end whose daughter is learning to drive. And this is him in the preview screen, too.

Actor: Chris Williams
Commercial(s): State Farm I'm There (above) and KFC "I like flavor" (on the docks)
Previous work: "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story"

And yes, that is Patrick Dempsey doing the voiceover.

P.S. I am working on the other actors, especially the groom, because a ton of people want to know who he is.

Wireless Fiber

Good gravy, this actor has been in so many commercials I don't know where to begin. He usually plays that "every guy" or a dad. Either way, he's racked up quite a commercial-acting career for himself.

Actor: Bob Stephenson
Commercial(s): Fiber One (above) and Verizon Wireless saying "Whatev" when his daughter talks for hours
Previous work: "Transformers" and "Zodiac"

P.S. For the other two actors in this commercial, check this out.

Fiber One Threesome ... Now Foursome

Just like the Dr. Scholl's commercial, we have multiple actors to name in this commercial for Fiber One cereal. Only this time there's three people! This is like my dream come true.

And before you call me on it, yes, there are actually five actors, but I am working on the other two. Give me a minute, geez.

Actor: Frederick Koehler (clerk, without the crazy hair)
Commercial(s): Fiber One (above, and one more) and Eclispse gum (stank-ass breath in the office)

Spring Awakening Likes TV Peeps

"Spring Awakening" is a musical set in 1890s Germany and deals with subjects like abortion, masturbation, rape and suicide. Awesome, right? Well, it turns out it is. Last year the show picked up eight Tony Awards, one of which was Best Musical.

Not only that, but it also is attracting some relatively recognizable names. For instance, Silas from "Weeds" and the late Karl from "Lost."

And who knew they could sing?!

Actor: Hunter Parrish (Silas)
Previous work: "Weeds" and "Freedom Writers"

Actor: Blake Bashoff (Karl)
Previous work: "Lost" and "One Tree Hill"

Berries and Phones

I am so beyond excited to add this one. In fact, excuse me a moment so I can perform a little jig.

[dancing like the Little Lad]

That's better. Now, back to business. I am not referring to Patrick Swayze with the commercial below. We all know him. Poor guy.

I'm talking about the Little Lad and the guy that says, "Silence doesn't really sell phones."

Who doesn't love berries and cream? I do the dance every time I see this commercial.

Actor: Jack Ferver
Commercial(s): Starburst Berries & Cream and Orange Mobile (both above)
Previous work: "Law & Order: Criminal Intent"
Bonus material: A screenshot of both videos above. It shows both characters in all their glory.
Even more bonus material: Oh. Hell. Yeah.

Note: I imagine some will say that in the screenshot linked above we are not seeing the same person. Fair enough. I even question it, but only about 0.0000001 percent. Don't think it's him? Let me know. But if it isn't, there's a twin we don't (and maybe he doesn't) know about.

Nationwide Moan

Oh, that's just kind of naughty. And maybe a little uncalled for. See, now I'm all hot and bothered... But, anyway, the pastor here was actually in "Black Snake Moan" playing – wait for it – a reverend. Looking at his past roles, he must really like religion and the law. I thought those were supposed to be separate. Hmmm.

Actor: John Cothran Jr.
Monk episode: "Mr. Monk Goes to Jail"
Commercial(s): Nationwide Insurance
Previous work: "Black Snake Moan" and "Shark"

Nike Footballers Galore

OK, so these guys aren't actors, but there are a ton of soccer players in this new Nike Football/Soccer "Take it to the Next Level" commercial. This is actually one of the best Nike Football/Soccer commercials they have produced since the World Cup, and not only because you (the camera) play for the Dutch national team.

The players and actresses are listed below in order of appearance. Note that some players, like Cristiano Ronaldo, appear in the commercial twice, but are listed only once.

See a higher-quality, slightly different version here.

Manager: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger (on sidelines at first club game)
Player: William Gallas (faux-hawk)
Player: Wayne Rooney (volley off chest)
Player: Cristiano Ronaldo (also volleys, then blows kiss to camera)
Player: Cesc Fàbregas (kisses camera after goal)
*Actress: Kat Dennings (in the car)
*Previous work: "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and "The House Bunny"
** Actress: Not sure, but looks like Rachel Hunter (poolside)
Player: Marco Materazzi (giving the stiff arm)
Player: Zlatan Ibrahimović (long hair, scores goal)
Player: Rafael Márquez Álvarez (first player to shake hands)
Player: Ronaldinho (third player to shake hands, No. 10)
Player: Klaas Jan Huntelaar (No. 19)
Player: Nani (No. 32)

Mr. Stinky Fish Face

Damn it, Bradshaw! Poor guy, he butchers the language. Then again, so do I, so I don't hold it against him. And I wouldn't be offended at all if he called me Mr. Stinky Fish Face, mostly because you can't get mad at the truth. I think that customer was just a little high-strung. Oh well, free trip to Hong Kong!

Actor: Regi Davis
Commercial(s): AT&T Wireless
Previous work: "Arrested Development" and "Las Vegas"

Twix and the City

This actress was supposed to be the Carrie character in an episode of "My Boys" that made fun of "Sex and the City"; the episode is linked below. It was hilarious, especially the part of the Samantha character. This version of Carrie now plays Deborah in a Twix commericial, which also has become an "interactive love story" on the Twix Web site.

Actress: Abigail Spencer
Commercial(s): Twix Political Blogging
Previous work: "Bones" and "How I Met Your Mother"

That Yogurt is 'L Word' Good

She looks like a pixie, or some other kind of fairy-type being. Oh, and she loves yogurt because it is, like, "sooooo" good. Sorry, I half-assed it on the cleverness scale--it's late.

Actress: Leisha Hailey
Commercial(s): Yoplait yogurt
Previous work: "Grey's Anatomy" and "The L Word"

Scrubbing Down the Dog

That's not a euphemism. Although, I might make it one. Anyway, this guy loves his dog (again, nothing intended) and also likes performing surgery. And, really, when you think about it, those go together like lamb and tuna fish. He does a pretty convincing Eastern European accent, too, as evident on his stint on "Scrubs."

Actor: Benjamin King
Commercial(s): Beneful Playful Life
Previous work: "Scrubs" and "The Wedding Bells"

Wizards of Dog Food

This guy has been in everything. OK, lots of things. However, he's probably most known because of his last name and from whom it came, his dad Dom.

Actor: David DeLuise
Commercial(s): Purina Beneful and Chili's
Previous work: "Wizards of Waverly Place" and "3rd Rock from the Sun"

Tuesday, June 17, 2008

Damn Flying Whales

That's a terrible headline. Oh, well.

This guy is best known as Rex, the portly Asian intern with the killer sideburns, on "Scrubs." However, he can now be seen in a joint-venture commercial between Best Buy and "Hancock." The commercial watches Hancock throw Walter the Beached Whale back into the ocean, only to hit a sailboat. Apparently, that boat belonged to Rex and his family. Who knew? Hancock, ne Will Smith, should really watch where he is throwing whales.

Actor: Aaron Ikeda
Commercial(s): Best Buy/"Hancock"
Previous work: "Scrubs" and "The War at Home"

Antidisestablishmentarianism

Phew, that was a mouthful. Still, a baby in a DQ commercial managed to say it, forcing his dad to give up his ice cream. The dad is this guy, who apparently liked Sunshine better with the long hair, brah, and enjoys himself a little Marvin. Just watch him lead the singing below.

Actor: Earl Poitier
Commercial(s): DQ Antidisestablishmentarianism
Previous work: "Remember the Titans" and "Over There"

KFC on Mars

You know that KFC Snacker commercial where the friends are sitting on the stairs arguing over the worth of a dollar? She is the female. Imagine that.

Note: When I find a video with some quality to it, I will post it here.

Actress: Jessy Schram
Commercial(s): KFC Snacker on the stairs
Previous work: "Veronica Mars" and "House"

Venting with Weed

He apparently really needs to vent while watching the game. It's understandable, after all, since he is a drug dealer who has to pull guns on and throw knives at people all the time. Even poor little Nancy Botwin isn't immune.

(sorry for the crappy quality)

Actor: Page Kennedy
Commercial(s): Coors Light vented wide mouth can (Brad) and Twix "Do I look fat in these?"
Previous work: "Weeds" and "Desperate Housewives"

Children of the Corn on the Run

He was that creepy redhead, Malachai, in "Children of the Corn" and recently was spotted on "Monk."

Note: Normally, I would post a video here, but since it is fairly graphic and violent and I know there are some who would rather not see it, I shall let you link there.

Actor: Courtney Gains
Monk episode: "Mr. Monk is on the Run, Part 1"
Previous work: Rob Zombie's "Halloween" (scenes deleted) and "Navy NCIS" and a slew of bit television credits

Doctor-cop Extraordinaire

He generally plays some kind of medical professional (law enforcement-related or otherwise).

He has been on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" three times, and has played a different detective each time.

Actor: C.S. Lee
Monk episode: "Mr. Monk is on the Run, Part 1"
Previous work: "Dexter" and "The Sopranos"

Mac vs. PRs (pizza rolls)

This actress has been bugging me for quite a while. See her in tons of things, but nothing. Thanks to MrX, we now have an answer.

Actress: Corinne Bohrer
Commercial(s): Mac vs. PC "Breakthrough"; Totino's pizza rolls (kid busts through the wall); Bounty "one-sheeter"
Previous work: "Veronica Mars" and "Joan of Arcadia"

Dr. Scholl's Two-fer

Well, how about this? We have a couple people in this Dr. Scholl's commercial. Most of you will probably notice the tow truck driver rather than the guy who's gellin'. The tow truck driver doesn't like you parking there, and he especially wants you to learn how to turn in your TPS reports.

Yeeaaah, did you get that memo?

Actor: Rob Moore (he's gellin')
Previous work: "Senior Trip" and "Lost Souls"

Actor: Joe Bays (tow truck driver)
Previous work: "Office Space" and "Spider-Man 3"

Melting Acadias

How about a little bossa nova?

The song plays throughout.

Band: Nouvelle Vague
Song: "I Melt With You" [Get this song, opens in a new window]
Album: Nouvelle Vague
Commercial(s): GMC Acadia. The original version of "I Melt With You" by Modern English is used in Taco Bell's Cheesy Beefy Melt commercial.

Not Another Car Driving Into the Store

Don't you just hate when that happens? This entry is about the white Midas employee in the commercial below. He plays a lot of bit roles in a lot of different shows and movies. However, I will always remember him as a passionate, yet irritated, English teacher that eventually ends up covered in nastiness.

Note: Working on the other two actors in this commercial.

Actor: Sean Smith
Commercial(s): Midas Secure Stop Brake Service
Previous work: "Not Another Teen Movie" and "Spanglish"

The Alltell Clan

So, here they are, in all their colored-polo-shirt glory.

Note: Working on the new Sprint guy (with the 'fro) and the Wizard.

Actor: Chad Brokaw (Chad), who you also can spot very briefly in "National Lampoon's: Van Wilder"
Actor: Matthew Brent (Verizon)
Actor: Ian Ross Gould (T-Mobile); he’s also been in a Buffalo Wild Wings commercial
Actor: Scott Halberstadt (AT&T/Cingular)
Actor: Michael Busch (Sprint--this version)
Actor: Adam Herschman (Sprint--crazy hair)

Titus Edney

I know that wasn't his name; it was Tyus Edney. However, it makes for a nice clever headline, given that an actor in a March Madness Coke Zero commercial once was on a show called "Titus." In the commercial, this actor is in the passenger seat of a Woodchuck when Coach Zero jumps in the backseat and recaps the scene from 1995: UCLA's Edney drives the length of the court to hit a last-second layup against Missouri.

Actor: David Shawtraw
Commercial(s): Coke Zero (Tyus Edney)
Previous work: "Titus" and "In Her Shoes"

'A Few Chardonnays, What of It?'

One of the unsung heroes of "Big Daddy," he was the drunk homeless guy. Now, he's on his deathbed (not really) and has found a gold-digging, um, well-endowed wife/mistress while Death seeks out some Sliders. He seems to always play a scruffy dude/drunk. Oh, to have that life… [sigh].

Actor: Edmund Lyndeck
Commercial(s): White Castle (Death has a craving for a sack of 10)
Previous work: "Big Daddy" and "Enchanted"

Hacking Into Lowe's

Admittedly, this one is a guess, although I have a strong feeling I am on the right track. Let's say 90 percent. But again, call me on it if it's incorrect.

----------
UPDATE: This is no longer a guess; it's him. And to make it that much better, he is a recent movie called "Sex and the City"--you may have heard of it. He plays the Business Guy applicant that meets with Carrie, only to reveal he is wearing pink heels.
----------

There is a Lowe's commercial where a dad is telling his son that he told the store they would deliver and remove the family's appliances for free; the back of Lowe's the truck then reveals that these things are already free. The commercial then cuts to an in-store view where a salesperson is helping a woman with the washers/dryers. The salesperson looks a heck of a lot like Razor or Blade from "Hackers," but you only get a split-second glance at him.

Note: I am still looking for a video of it so you all can see. No luck yet, but I will update when it is available. In the meantime, here is an image of the actor.

Actor: Peter Y. Kim (Blade from "Hackers")
Commercial(s): Lowe's (same-day delivery)
Previous work: "Hackers" and "Boston Legal" and now "Sex and the City" (the movie)
Fun(ny) Fact: For the first couple days after "SATC" (the movie) was released, the character of Business Guy was listed by IMDb as being played by Pedro Kim. Pedro and Peter are not the same person. The error has since been corrected.

Hum-ming About Cadillacs

Cadillac has several newer commercials where a woman (Kate Walsh, of "Private Practice" and "Grey's Anatomy" fame) drives her Caddy because she likes it. In fact, it turns her on, so she says. There are other versions of the commercial (Sophia Vergara and Lance Reddick appear), but the Walsh version is probably more popular.

The song begins at 00:20.

Band: Hum
Song: "Stars" [Get this song, opens in a new window]
Album: You'd Prefer an Astronaut
Commercial(s): Cadillac

There's Something About Mr. & Mrs. Smith

He has played several different roles, from funny man to evil, exploitative drug dealer, and has a distinctive voice, which he has lent to several cartoon shows and video games. He's also a hard worker; he's got 17 roles coming this year alone. My favorite line of his (from "There's Something About Mary"): "How'd you get the beans above the frank?"

Actor: Keith David
Commercial(s): U.S. Navy (voiceover)
Previous work: "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" and "Crash"

Yogurt and Pills are a Good Mix

Again… I'm told… This lady is just a sweetheart. Or at least she always seems to play one. I can't think of anything that she was in where she plays someone evil. The closest thing I can think of is her character on "The Riches," where she is a pill-popping neighbor to the Riches/Malloys.

She’s the alteration "expert" above.

Actress: Margo Martindale
Commercial(s): Yoplait yogurt (Dry cleaner, Out vs. In)
Previous work: "The Riches" and "Dexter"

Aidan Likes 'Apps'

Anyone who knows me knows I dislike abbreviating words, especially those that only cut out one syllable or letter. For instance: situation becomes "sitch"; all things text messaging; appetizers becomes "apps." That's where this entry comes in. It's for Applebee's Ulitmate Trios/"three killer apps." That voiceover you hear is Aidan Shaw from "Sex and the City," the TV version.

Actor: John Corbett
Commercial(s): Applebee's (Ultimate Trios voiceover)
Previous work: "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and "Northern Exposure"
Bonus material: Video (opens in a new window)

Holiday In Living Color

She's generally a nerdy, almost-mothering figure. But she is mostly known for her work on "In Living Color." And actually, you might even remember her as one of the women in the divorcee circle in "Jerry Maguire."

She's the frizzy-haired blonde who stabs Jim Carrey.

Actress: Kelly Coffield
Commercial(s): Holiday Inn Express breakfast bar ("Pick Up"- WMV, Quicktime)
Previous work: "In Living Color" and "College Road Trip"

'Ees tha Go-leee!'

I can finally use that headline. Remember the entry for Shane West, the goalie for the Iceland team in "D2: The Mighty Ducks"? Well, this guy is the Ducks' goalie! Goldberg!

Actor: Shaun Weiss
Commercial(s): Captain Morgan ("Maxie Mixers are going fast"); Castrol GTX (engine sludge, extra napkins); V-Cast from Verizon (watching the Arizona-Colorado game from the ambulance)
Previous work: All "The Mighty Duck" films and "Heavy Weights"

It's Always Sunny with AT&T

I actually don't believe that, but it's a nice headline. Anyway, this March Madness, you'll probably encoutner these types of commercials a lot, where you see a clone of an AT&T customer making fun of him or herself. This particular one has a guy named Chuck shooting arcade hoops. This actor is Chuck.

Actor: Malcolm Barrett
Commercial(s): AT&T (Chuck shooting hoops)
Previous work: "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and "Psych"
Bonus material: Will have something soon. The commercial just aired, so I can't find it yet

Go, Rilla...It's Yo Birfday

Craziness and head scratching abound with this commercial for Cadbury. I mean, a gorilla playing the drums for Phil Collins? I'm still baffled. Anyone with some insight as to why, please enlighten us all.

So, the reason this is posted is that the guy playing the gorilla here has also played a gorilla in the film "Instinct" with Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr.

Actor: Garon Michael
Commercial(s): Cadbury (see above)
Previous work: "Instinct" and "Congo"
Bonus material: The G-Unit version (Guerilla/Gorilla Unit, get it?)

I cannot take credit for this connection. That goes to Firebrand. But damn if this wasn't worth posting here. Who doesn't love that song?

Sex with Seacrest (??)

Well, not really. But you know that Scope White commercial with Ryan Seacrest and Josie Maran? This actor is the producer or AD getting Seacrest set for the interview with Maran. He was also Skipper in the early episodes of "Sex and the City." Hence, the title.

Actor: Ben Weber
Commercial(s): Scope White (Seacrest); FedEx (where the guy cannot locate China on a map); and Top-Flite golf balls (with Kenny Mayne)
Previous work: "Everwood" and "The West Wing"

Campbell Soup Ads

Any objectivity will be lost if I write more, so this entry will be short. This actor is the dude who loves Campbell Soup handhelds far, far, far too much.

Actor: Ryan Gaul
Previous work: "10 Items or Less"

The Pedigree Files

This one isn't too diificult, actually, but in the interest of the site, here it is. David Duchovny, of "The X-Files" fame, is the voiceover artist in the Pedigree commercials. I'd say he's doing pretty well with these commercials, too: Dog adoptions are up. Of course, it could be the heartstring-pulling pictures of these animals. Just look at that face. I mean, Echo is smiling he's so excited to see he might get out of the pound. Look at him.

I've got to stop. I'll start crying.

Actor: David Duchovny
Commercial(s): Pedigree
Previous work: "The X-Files" and "Return to Me"
Good deed of the day: Pedigree Adoption Drive

Chester Cheetah Gone Bad

Chester Cheetah received a makeover (he's now a puppet) and became a troublemaker. Not that he wasn't a little crazy in the first place, but now he's encouraging Cheeto-related catastrophes. Case in point: the handful of Cheetos in the dryer.

The Felicia in this commercial is actually named Felicia. Felicia Day, to be exact.

Actress: Felicia Day
Commercial(s): Cheetos Orange Underground - Laundromat (see above)
Monk episode: "Mr. Monk Gets Drunk"
Previous work: "The Guild" (appears online) and "Bring It On Again"
Fun(ny) Fact: Felicia's show, "The Guild," gets a short write-up in the most recent issue of Script magazine.

Hannibal Loves Frankie

There are four films* in which Hannibal Lecter appears. However, only one actor has been cast in all of them: Frankie Faison. He played Barney Matthews in "The Silence of the Lambs," "Hannibal" and "Red Dragon." But in "Manhunter," he played Lt. Fisk. We won't hold that against him, though, considering that Hannibal Lecter was played by Brian Cox in that installment.

In his other roles, he generally plays a teddy-bear father figure or some variation on a police officer.

Actor: Frankie Faison
Previous work: "Coming to America" and "Do the Right Thing"

*Technically, there are five films. However, we won't count "Hannibal Rising" because it was set when Hannibal was a child. Frankie's characters wouldn't have been born yet.

Sex and the Monk

Most women, and probably many men (including me), will know him immediately as Steve (Miranda's husband). But, ladies, in this episode, Steve had a grayish goatee. It looked kind of strange.

Actor: David Eigenberg
Monk episode: "Mr. Monk Makes a Friend"
Previous work: "Sex and the City" and "The Mothman Prophecies"

Xeroxing Cheese

She's been in a lot of TV shows, but more recently has been appearing in commercials. But mostly, she's probably more remembered for her "correspondent" position on "The Daily Show."

Actress: Beth Littleford
Commercial(s): Xerox (broken mute button) and Laughing Cow Cheese
Previous work: "The Daily Show" and "Drillbit Taylor"

Wiping Out in a Mercury

Sorry, I couldnt't think of a better headline for this one. Either way, she's the woman who apparently knows a lot about Mercury cars, and then proceeds to walk around or in between them. She also gets to give a physical to Taye Diggs in the following episode of "Punk'd."

Watch for her 24 seconds into the clip.

UPDATE: Jill is now the host of the new ABC show "Wipeout."

Actress: Jill Wagner
Monk episode: "Mr. Monk and the Employee of the Month"
Commercial(s): Several Mercury car commercials
Previous work: "Junebug" and "Blade: The Series"

What the Shell?

He's been showing up in commercials for just about everything over the past couple years. As such, he bugged me because his name eluded me for some time. "Monk" helped change that. But because it was a bit part, he's still probably best known for all the commercials.

He's on the left.

Actor: Tim Kang
Monk episode: "Mr. Monk is Up All Night"
Commercial(s): Shell's quality gas/gunky buildup and Left Turns (also on the station signage); Cingular (one of which is above); Home Depot
Previous work: "The Mentalist" and "Rambo" (2008 version)

Carl Winslow

Ha! I'm hoping that headline was enough to grab you. Just seeing him on TV again, regardless if it was a bit part, was enough to get me excited. I blinked several times to be sure it was him. Carl Winslow, playing a remarried widow on "Monk." And yet, since I saw him in "Die Hard" just a couple days ago, I thought of him in that film first.

Note: Although most people would know him immediately from either "Family Matters" or "Die Hard," I still felt the need to post this, if for no other reason than posterity.

Actor: Reginald VelJohnson
Monk episode: "Mr. Monk and the Class Reunion"
Previous work: "Family Matters" and "Die Hard"

Notes from the '80s

She has been in several things, as well, but you probably know her best from the "I Love the '80s" on VH1 or random commercials. She's the cute one with blond hair and thick-rimmed black glasses. Kind of a blond Lisa Loeb, without the singing. She could be the voice of Karolyn Slowsky, too, but I'm working on that verification.

Actress: Rachael Harris
Monk episode: "Mr. Monk and the Secret Santa"
Commercial: Quaker Oats chocolate-covered rice cakes; possibly the voice of Karolyn Slowsky from the Comcast turtle commercials
Previous work: "Notes from the Underbelley" and "Evan Almighty"

Dazed and…Kind of Tipsy

My college roommates and I once played a drinking game where every time Mitch from "Dazed and Confused" touched the bridge of his nose, we would take a drink or shot. Significant time to devote to a hangover was necessary.

WARNING/DISCLAIMER--I am not recommending this game; it is only a story. Playing this game is done at your own risk. I'm not responsible for you. I cannot control what you do. I'm just a Web site, after all.

Actor: Wiley Wiggins
Previous work: "The Faculty" and "Waking Life"

Cottonelle Scrubs

I haven't been able to confirm this just yet, but I would put money on the fact that the voice of the puppy in the Cottonelle commercials is J.D. from "Scrubs." Well, the actor who plays him, at least. The voice is far too high-pitched and cartoony to not be him.

Actor: Zach Braff
Commercial(s): Cottonelle
Previous work: I think you know

The 5th Quarterlife

You know those crazy 5 Gum commercials? The ones where people are kept afloat by hair dryers or ball bearings? This actress plays the woman held up by the hair dyers, which represents cinnamon flavoring, for those interested. She's also hitting the small screen on "Quarterlife."

Actress: Michelle Lombardo
Commercial(s): 5 Gum (cinnamon/hair dryers)
Previous work: "Click" and "Quarterlife"

'From MrX' Marks the Spot

The Labels on your right include one called "From MrX." These entries are submitted from my partner in crime, MrX (did you have to ask his name, really?). He also possesses an extensive knowledge of films and television, but has considerable knowledge of the Academy Awards.

Anyway, just a heads up, in case you were wondering what that was. His first submission is coming in just a few minutes.

Peace out,
314degrees

A Very Brady Mermaid

With "The Little Mermaid" on Broadway, my lady friend started to listen to snippets of the live recordings on iTunes. That, of course, lead to pulling out the old VHS version of the film. For me, watching this was difficult. Trying to identify voices from a film that came out in 1989 was hard. The only ones really noticeable was Buddy Hackett and Edie McClurg (the redhead who generally plays a nanny or demure teacher).

Anyway, long story short, Eric's voice was bothering me. It and the actor's name sounded very familiar. Then it hit me: Eric is Greg Brady (from the films).

Actor: Christopher Daniel Barnes
Previous work: Both "The Brady Bunch" films

Election Crasher

Given that he just clinched the Republican nomination, it seems fitting to acknowldge John McCain. However, we're acknowledging him for his role in "Wedding Crashers." He and James Carville greet Sect. Cleary (ne Christopher Walken) at the beginning of the film, just before Cleary's oldest daughter gets married. Also, the film was on three times this past weekend on TBS, so it was fresh in my mind.

10 Ficuses or Less

Is that the plural of ficus? I'm getting the little red squiggly line under it. Either way, this guy is the operator that denies a car insurance claim because only ficuses are part of the guy's policy.

And he forgot how to drink coffee. Poor, unfortunate soul.

Actor: Bob Clendenin
Monk episode: "Mr. Monk and the Captain's Marriage"
Commercial(s): Nationwide ("Was it a ficus?"); Become an Ex (re-learning to drink coffee)
Previous work: "Scrubs" and "10 Items or Less"

Subaru Rufus

Lots of "ooo" sounds; it's kind of soothing (oh--and the ooo's just keep coming, people!). Anyway, the guy that played Rufus (the home theater guy) on "Entourage" also is in a Subaru commercial, where he and his kid keep finding awards all over the place.

Actor: Marlon Young
Commercial(s): Subaru Forester (awards in the floorboards)
Previous work: "War of the Worlds" and "The District"

The Outback of Montreal

----------
UPDATE: Either Outback has a couple different versions of the commercial, which is hihgly possible, or they decided to remove all likeness to the song below. A recent iteration of the ad has more of a jumpy, commercial jingle feel to it.
----------

This is a new feature, so we'll see how this goes over.

The song used in the Outback Steakhouse commercials (the ones where Aboriginal drawings dance around the screen). Well, it's not exactly this song, but a play on it.

The song plays throughout.

Band: Of Montreal
Song: "Wraith Pinned to the Mist and Other Games" [Get this song, opens in a new window]
Album: The Sunlandic Twins
Commercial(s): Outback Steakhouse

I, Pirate

He was the redheaded pirate in "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story." He was also in "I, Robot," although you never actually saw him; he was the motion-capture actor who served as the body for the robot Sonny. And I'm pretty sure he is a master at voice work. I've always been convinced that he is from England (consider his accents in "A Knight’s Tale" and "Death at a Funeral"), but I was wrong. He's from El Paso, Texas. England, El Paso--at least they both start with the same letter.

Actor: Alan Tudyk
Previous work: "Arrested Development" and "Knocked Up"

Don Audi

You all remember the horse head in the bed in "The Godfather." It's so memorable, in fact, that it has been in homage many times in film and television. During Super Bowl XLII, Audi had a commercial where a man wakes up to find the front end of his Mercedes in his bed, a la the horse head. For some of you youngsters, that man actually was in "The Godfather," and he played Moe Green.

Actor: Alex Rocco
Commercial(s): Audi R8 (your front end has been whacked)--no euphemism intended
Previous work: "The Facts of Life" and "Smoking Aces"

No. 2 on Pop Candy

This What's His Face? is the one that finally kicked me in to gear to start doing this blog.

While watching "Lost" last week, the guy playing Kate's attorney was bothering me. I knew him from somewhere, so I checked IMDb. Turns out, the guy was in the film "Frequency" and played a character named--wait for it--Jack Shepard. (For those who don't watch "Lost," Matthew Fox also plays Jack Shephard). Granted, the spellings are different, and the names might not mean anything in the long run, but surely this wasn't just a happy accident. There's no such thing on this show.

http://blogs.usatoday.com/popcandy/2008/02/lost-in-a-fla-2.html

For the record...

Actor: Shawn Doyle
Previous work: "Frequency" and "Big Love"

Note: I altered the image above to save space and get everything on the same page. Also, I blurred my username for safety's sake, although you can view it if you go to the blog itself.

Gus' Nicknames

Burton Guster (Gus) is the sidekick to Shawn on "Psych." This is a list of his nicknames, as given to him by Shawn.

Lavender Gooms
Ovaltine Jenkins (my personal favorite)
Nick Knack
Silly Pants Jackson
The SuperSniffer
Magic Head
Spellmaster
Weepy Boy Santos
Schoonie "U-Turn" Singleton
Gus T.T. Showbiz
Chocolate Columbo
Burton "Oil Can" Guster
Big Head Burton
Dr. Mc[click][cluck][click]Toock
Tan (of Black & Tan)
Schmuyel Cohen
Francois
Vernus Lambert Watkins
Shutterfly Simmons
Galileo Humpkins
Convertible LeBaron (it was more of an adjective, not a nickname, but I liked it)

... more to come as the show continues.

Woodstock (Ill.) Represent!

For those of you who don't know, "Groundhog Day," starring Bill Murray, was filmed primarily in Woodstock, Ill., not Punxsutawney, Pa. When watching "Groundhog Day," look in the background when Ned Ryerson (Bing!) first appears. You'll see Woodstock Jewelers.

----------
THIS JUST IN: "Groundhog Day" was recently named to AFI's 10 Top 10. The film placed No. 8 all time in the Fantasy category.
----------

Jake 'Gill'-en-hall

We know that isn't how it is pronounced, but the voiceover artist of the trailers for "Donnie Darko" didn't. The trailers are on the DVD. You'd think they would have caught on before they released it. It's just interesting that even then, no one could decide how to pronounce his last name.

For the record, it’s "Jill-en-hall."

On a personal note, I must say that I feel for the guy. My last name is mispronounced all the time. Only after knowing me do people get it right. Well, most of the time.

The Green Inmate

This actor played a former inmate from the Stamford branch of Dunder-Mifflin, and at times he appears in Toyota commercials. Oh, and puts a lot of old greedy (sometimes naked) white men in their place. That's him leading the show, as well.

Actor: Wayne Wilderson
Commercial(s): Chevy green vehicles (he explains green to children while walking around the vehicle); Washington Mutual (all the WaMu vs. all the old white guys); Fruit of the Loom (the grapes)
Previous work: "Evan Almighty" and "The Office"

My So-Called Best Buy

With the relatively recent release of "My So-Called Life" on DVD, this one was fresh in my head. Delia Fisher, the short, frizzy-haired girl that had a thing for Brian (who also frizzy-haired, oddly enough), now is in a Best Buy commercial.

Actress: Senta Moses
Commercial(s): Best Buy (the "psychic" salesperson helps pick out a laptop)
Previous work: "My So-Called Life" and "Beakman's World"

Domino's Cures the Munchies

… I'm told. Anyway, I was just sitting here watching "Monk," and a Domino's commercial comes on. The delivery person is finding her stride as a new mom who helps distribute marijuana alongside Conrad and Heylia on "Weeds."

Actress: Indigo
Commercial(s): Domino's (Sharpied eyebrows)
Previous work: "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Family Guy"

Both Sides of the Law

He now has a big bushy moustache and generally plays cops or military men. In fact, he is SFPD Captain Leland Stottlemeyer on "Monk." However, many people probably know him better in a completely different role. Maybe it would help if he lost some weight, shaved, wore make-up (among other things), tucked "it" in and "put the f---ing lotion in the basket."

Actor: Ted Levine
Monk episode: All (as far as I can tell)
Previous work: "The Silence of the Lambs" and "Joy Ride" (voice)

Hertz Donut

When most people see this guy, they generally say, "He looks like Chris Farley." Well, that's probably because he is Chris's younger brother. He can now be seen as an undercover agent who infiltrates Hertz rental cars.

Actor: Kevin P. Farley
Monk episode: "Mr. Monk is on the Air"
Commercial(s): Hertz ("Well, I'm not a spy!")
Previous work: "2Gether" and "Black Sheep"
Bonus material (from "2Gether"): http://314degrees.blogspot.com/2008/02/getting-2gether-on-hgtv.html

Getting 2Gether on HGTV

You plus Me equals Us. Turns out, calculus is pretty easy. Why didn't anyone explain it like this before?

This guy was the "leader/heartthrob" of 2Gether (remember, from MTV), but now is more known for hosting home design/improvement shows like "FreeStyle" on HGTV.

Actor: Evan Farmer
Previous work: "2Gether" and "While You Were Out"

And because this one is so exciting, here's some bonus material. It's kind of blurry and I don't know who this Mikey guy is at the start of the video, but, damn, if this isn't awesome:

Big Fish in the Office

He played Roy, Pam's boyfriend/fiancé who wanted to kill Jim, as well as a deaf football player and a gay bartender. That's quite the spectrum of roles, wouldn't you say?

Actor: David Denman
Previous work: "Big Fish" and "Out Cold"

Bring It On, Ducks!!

Alternate headline: "Ees tha Go-leee!"

The male cheerleader in "Bring It On" (the straight one who has an affinity for spanks) is also the goaltender of the Iceland team in "D2: The Mighty Ducks." And keeping with the hockey theme, he was Rob McClanahan in "Miracle," which chronicled the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team's defeat of the powerhouse Soviets, as they were known then.

Actor: Nathan West
Previous work: "7th Heaven" and "Not Another Teen Movie"

Geico and the Clampetts

Jed Clampett probably doesn't like this guy. In the Geico commercial, this actor plays the investigator who determined that Jed didn't just have funds generated by the "bubbling crude," he also had Geico, which saves you 15 percent on your car insurance--so I'm told.

Actor: Shuler Hensley
Commercial(s): Geico TRS—The Clampetts; very recently: TMobile family plan (The Hatfields and McCoys)
Previous work: "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "Van Helsing"

Not Another Abe Lincoln at Wendy's

He's wearing a red Wendy's wig in his commercial and starts the slow clap in one of the greatest films of all time. In said movie, he played the hopelessly devoted Ricky, who enjoyed making little tiny Janey hairballs. But who doesn't, really?

Actor: Eric Jungmann
Commercial(s): Wendy's 99-cent menu (with all the Abe Lincolns)
Previous work: "Not Another Teen Movie" and "Veronica Mars"

Seth Rogen: Bully

He's also a Halle Berry look-alike, arguably. But back to the subject at hand: While re-watching "Donnie Darko," I was astonished to see that Seth Rogen played Ricky Danforth, a bully. No big ado, just thought it was interesting, and the first time I would have seen the movie, I would have had no idea that was him.

Check out No. 19 under his Actor profile
Source: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0736622/

Now, Milton, Switch to Comcast

The actor who played Milton in "Office Space" recently has been seen in a Comcast commercial, where he reads a fairy tale about low introductory rates. He gets a little testy while reading, but he doesn't burn anything down. And we appreciate that.

Actor: Stephen Root
Commercial(s): Comcast (the one where they tell fairy tales about sheep and low introductory rates)
Previous work: "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story" and both "Ice Age" films

Teenage Mutant Tax Cuts

It wasn't difficult to spot April O'Neil (that's right, from the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles") in a recent H&R Block commercial. But, hey, I have a thing for redheads, so they tend to make an impression in my memory (although the second actress to play April O'Neil, Paige Turco, was better).

Actress: Judith Hoag
Commercial(s): H&R Block Tax Cut ("Maybe you should ask the box.")
Previous work: "Grey's Anatomy" and "Women's Murder Club"

Best Chappelle's Show Ever

Chad: "You stabbed my dad!"
Tron: "I mean, really, Chad, we could just f--k you up."
He's also a mainstay on most of the VH1 shows where people say funny things about stuff that happened this week or in the '80s or '90s.

Actor: Christian Finnegan
Previous work: "Comedy Central Presents" and "Chappelle's Show"

[Expletive deleted] Begins with Kay

He played Adam Davies, Drama's agent on "Entourage," before Ari was fired. You'll also see him in the Journey diamond necklace commercial from Kay Jewelers (the one with the first kiss, love kiss and baby kiss--or something like that).

Actor: Jordan Belfi
Commercial(s): Kay Jewelers Journey diamond necklace
Previous work: "Entourage" and "Smallville"

Progressively Checking Out at the Barbershop

He was a nervous Dinka in both "Barbershop" films, and then showed up in a recent Progressive commercial, where he is at the check out with that funny/annoying clerk. But hey, he saved $350. Cha-ching, Dinka!

Actor: Leonard Earl Howze
Commercial(s): Progressive checkout
Previous work: "Antwone Fisher" and "My Name is Earl"

Un-pimped Out Auto

They're the commercials where the "German" guy and the hot assistant (still working on who she is) smash a ridiculously pimped-out car. You probably know him better as the rarely clean-shaven, hobo-looking Russian bad guy. But in actuality, the actor is Swedish.

Actor: Peter Stormare
Commercial(s): VW Mark 5
Monk episode: "Mr. Monk Paints His Masterpiece"
Previous work: "Fargo" and "Prison Break"

Yellow Office Pages

This guy played the manager of the fast-food restaurant in which a guy strips down, lays out on the counter and "tans" under the burger heat lamps. He also was the IT specialist helping Michael tap into Dunder-Mifflin's e-mail on "The Office."

Actor: Omi Vaidya
Commercial(s): YellowPages.com commercial (heat lamp tanning)
Previous work: "The Office" and "Arrested Development"

Truth in Advertising?

Do you ever wonder if the people they pick for STD ads actually have STDs? Well, if that were true, then this is just unfortunate. Mark D. Wilson plays one of the people with the herp in the Valtrex commercials, and he played a guy with gonorrhea on "Scrubs." If you remember the stigma Joey on "Friends" experiences when he models for the VD poster, then just imagine what this guy encounters. Two STD-related credits. C'mon, give him a break.

That's him on the left.

Actor: Mark D. Wilson
Commercial(s): Valtrex
Previous work: "Dirty Sexy Money" and "NCIS"

Tobey Maguire: Spider-Man, Strong-Man

Before Spider-Man was wailing on the Goblins, Doc Ock, Sandman and Venom, he was playing Strong-Man in "The Wizard." OK, he actually played "Lucas' goon at video Armageddon" and was a head shorter than everyone else. He must have been labeled a goon because of the hot-pink shirt and the mullet. That stuff just screams "goon," don't you think?

I guess I shouldn't talk, though. I was always partial to hot green, at least according to my biker shorts. Unfortunately, I also had a mullet when I was younger.

See the end of the cast list if you're not convinced that is him in the image.

One Face at a Time...

So, Name That Actor was created because I have some strange ability to recognize faces and names of actors, as well as their roles, whether bit parts in a summer blockbuster or in a TV commercial.

My friends always seem to come to me to get these types of answers, so I thought I would extend it to everyone (or at least to my friends via the Web so they quit bothering me).

If you have anyone you need help with, let me know. I'll do my best.

Note: If you are wondering about the "314 degrees," it combines a number I have some connection with and the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game.
» I do not claim to be the end-all, be-all. I am bound to mess up, so if I do, call me on it.
» Likewise, any constructive suggestions or additions are appreciated. I already know that I am an ass-clown, blowhard and/or douche. Please don't remind me.

Note 2: There are other sites that do this, but they only give you an alphabetical listing of "That Guy" actors, which you then must sift through in hopes of finding your (wo)man.
